THE NEW JAMB PORTAL - HOW TO USE (with photo guide)

To those of us who don't know yet or who haven't heard till now, JAMB is now migrating their service to the online community and that is a good move because it makes things easier for students. You can just do everything want from the comfort of your home with even a mobile device.
If you have written JAMB before now you will agree with me that it is not easy registering for JAMB has not been an easy process. All that will end now and also with the extension of JAMB results to three 3 duration, it will be easier for JAMB to monitor each candidate and know how many years that result has been used because a candidate will not have two profiles on the jamb data base (Just like the Bank Verification Number - BVN), this tends to authenticate and enforce the creation of a single account for students who register to sit for the JAMB examination.

Currently if you visit the JAMB website, you will notice huge changes. For you to be able to use the jamb site now to check your admission status, print admission letters, (even for this current 2016/2017 candidates), register for 2017/2018 JAMB Exam (yes you read it right) etc you must first of all create your profile with JAMB; that is what this post intends to guide you on.

  1. Log on the JAMB website then click on services you wish to view (Registration, check status, print admission letters etc) and a link which shows "click to proceed" will appear. If you are using a computer system, just hover your mouse over the services and the link will drop down. You can clike here to access the login/register page now.
  2. Once you click the link, you will be redirected to an instruction page. scroll down and click the "click her to continue" link below the instruction. Please read it carefully.
  3.  After that you will be redirected to the Login page where you are expected to login into your profile. If you have not created your profile yet, click the "create account" link to start the process of creating your account or click here to do so now.
*While registering/creating your profile, please write your name exactly the way it is on your jamb slip (if you wrote jamb this year and made) or the way you want it to appear subsequently*

4. Once you are through with creating your account, you can now login to your account profile from where you will see different options and services which JAMB provides. It is left for you to select what you want to do and just go ahead and do it.

For services like result printing, change of course, change of admission letter etc you can opt to pay with your ATM card or request for a print out with which you will take to the bank to make your payments.

Your home screen should look something like this when you login.
